Our Mission
To share God’s love by growing and giving fresh, organic fruit and vegetables to people, and provide an opportunity for discipleship through service, education and community.
We are a ministry of Nimmo United Methodist Church, and located on their property. Other programs at the garden include Community Garden Plot rentals and summer Field to Fork dinners.
We grow sustainably using organic methods and produce our own compost.
God blessed them…then God said,
“I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it.
They will be yours for food…God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”
Background
Since 2009, we have grown fruit and vegetables to share with the community through various organizations. This year we will serve: First Presbyterian Church, JCOC (Judeo-Christian Outreach Center), Russell House and Sullivan House senior apartments.
Giving Garden
The garden is 100×60 feet. In 2021 we grew and gave away over 2,757 pounds of produce. Volunteers help plant and maintain the garden, harvest and deliver throughout the week. We provide gloves, tools and training to those with willing hearts.
