Flea Beetles Already Spotted on Eggplants!

We are already seeing pests in the garden.  Flea beetles are small and shiny with large rear legs.  Adults are about  1/16″ long and range in color from tan to black.  They have earned their name due to jumping like fleas when disturbed.
They will eat foliage, producing what looks like “shotholes” in leaves.
They usually don’t kill plants, but spread disease like wilt and blight.
